Antique Chinese deep dish decorated in overglaze enamels with the Famille Jaune pallette. The motifs seen are the shaped collar (in the form of a ryui fungus) around the lid which are Buddhist precious objects. The flowers are hawthorn (prunus), lotus orchid, peony, chrysanthemum, etc. which are usually found on this type of porcelain. The mask handles on the sides may originally have had wire carriers fitted. Dates from the 19th century.
